How to Maintain Your Kubota

Kubota products are known for their advanced design and production globally. When owning a Kubota product, you want to keep it running in pristine condition. This could be done by bringing it into Country Sales & Service for regular service. However, not always will your product need to be seen by a professional. You can take measures on your own to ensure your product is operating safely and up to par.

Everyday Maintenance Check

To ensure your Kubota is operating properly without malfunctions, it is advised to do daily pre-maintenance checks that consist of:

  • A full walk-around inspection.
  • Check the tire pressure along with any wear or tear.
  • Any damage to the body.
  • Check for bolt, nut and pin tightness.
  • Check blades and belts for any wear or tear.
  • All safety switches, including the parking brake or speed control levers, are working correctly.
  • Check for any unusual noises or vibrations.
  • Check all fluids, including oil, transmission, hydraulic, and coolant levels.
  • Ensure that no fluid leaks are coming from your equipment.
  • Inspect the water separator.
  • Clean the radiator, screen, and grill.
  • If your product is equipped with a DPF muffler, ensure it is properly placed.
  • Ensure the brake pedal and brake is working correctly.
  • Check to make sure the parking brake lever is moving freely.
  • Check all light indicators, meters, and gauges.
  • Clean and check the air cleaner evacuator valve.
  • Check to ensure all lights are properly illuminated.
  • Ensure the seat belt is safely intact and buckles correctly.
  • Refuel.
  • Ensure no danger, warning, or caution labels have fallen off.

Kubota Preventative Maintenance

Kubota does recommend that any individual owning Kubota equipment that they stay compliant to the scheduled maintenance chart for 50, 200/400, and 600 hours.

Every 50-Hours of Use

Change:

  • Fuel filter
  • Transmission oil
  • Hydraulic oil and filter
  • Engine oil and filter
  • Front axle oil
  • Air filters (when needed)

Cleaning

  • Radiator screen
  • In-shop pressure wash

Inspect:

  • Coolant level
  • Tire pressure
  • Tire wear and tear
  • Safety switches
  • Ensure pivot points are properly greased

Every 200/400 Hours of Use

Change

  • Fuel filter
  • Engine oil and filter
  • Transmission fluid
  • Hydraulic oil and filter
  • Air filters (when needed)
  • Front axel oil

Cleaning

  • Air cleaner element
  • Radiator screen
  • In-shop pressure wash

Inspect:

  • Battery and cables
  • Make sure zerks are greased
  • Clutch and brake pedal play
  • Toe-in
  • Front axle front-back play
  • Coolant levels
  • Tire pressure and wear
  • Safety switches
  • Ensure pivot points are greased

Every 600 Hours of Use

Change

  • Fuel filter
  • Engine oil and filter
  • Transmission fluid
  • Hydraulic oil and filter
  • Air filters (when needed)
  • Front axle oil
  • Battery electrolytes
  • Air cleaner element

Cleaning

  • Air cleaner element
  • Radiator screen
  • In-shop pressure wash

Inspect:

  • Battery and cables
  • Zerks are greased
  • Clutch and brake pedal play
  • Toe-in
  • Front axle front-back play
  • Coolant levels
  • Tire pressure and wear
  • Safety switches
  • Make sure to grease pivot points
